My Norton Internet Security is about to expire in 2 days. I hit the “renew” button and it is asking for a subscription key which I dont have (i have renewed this software every year for the last four years and they have never asked for this before) So I have now been directed to the Symantec online store where I can purchase a download subscription renewel. If I purchase this will it still ask for a subscription key? I dont want to shell out £30 for a renewel and then find out I cant renew it!

The message your getting is a reminder, from Norton, that your subscription is about to expire. Once you renew your license, you will get a new subscription key and that message will go away.
