If i uninstall and reinstall itunes, will i have to put all my songs back on it?

October 30th, 2009 · 3 Comments

Im looking to upgrade to windows 7 and it says i should uninstall itunes before I upgrade and reinstall it afterward. Im concerned that i will have to manually put all my songs back on it. My itunes library consists of songs from a variety of sources. Will itunes have all my songs on it after i reinstall it?

Your songs are on your harddrive, not iTunes, so you won’t lose them. It’ll probably just have to re-sync.

I dont think it will….what I would do is backup my Itunes library to CDs (which is a good idea to do periodically in case of a crash) and then reinstall the music files when you reinstall the program.

As long as u have them saved in a folder then when you reinstall u set that as the itunes source folder they should stay
