If I uninstall Norton Internet Security with over 150 days left of subscription, will I be able to reinstall?

April 7th, 2009 · 2 Comments

Recently I've been having problems with a program called Steam, a program which allows me to buy and play games online (the program won't open). I've been told that Norton is one of those programs which interfere with Steam, and that I should uninstall it. I bought my Norton Internet Security and I have over 150 days of subscription left. If I uninstall Norton completely, and my Steam problem persists, will I be able to install my Norton Internet Security again and still have the same number of days left in subscription? - I still have the CD that came with the package.

It is likely your norton will expire on a certain date. So if you uninstall then reinstall it will be as in you never uninstalled it, and it would expire on the same date that it would have had you not uninstalled.

Otherwise you would just install once a week to do a virus scan then uninstall again, could last for years.
