Our computer was messing up completely and he had to restore the computer, so he bought the 2 years license to norton 360 and its like an 8 year old windows Xp
anyways, its working fine, but say it does mess up, can you get a refund from norton?

Nope, im pretty sure you cant.
You cannot get any software refunds from anyone. Im pretty sure that the EULA states that they completely protect themselves if there is anything bad that is caused to your computer.

no because u have the cd. and if the cd is scratched u can download the trial and put in the key

use avg its free and a excellent programme download from here
http://free.avg.com/
ive used it for a number of years now and never had a problem with it
norton and the others tend to slow your machine
