cause if it is installed it gives a virus so if u uninstall it does iti still have the virus effect?
i mean…if u didnt alredy get a virus nd u get limewire donwload 20 songs then uninstall it will anything happen and how dou no which songs have viruses?

The only way you can get a virus from Limewire is by downloading files that contain viruses but the actual program Limewire doesn't have viruses.

OK let's start again. Limewire doesn't contain any viruses. You can leave it on your computer for years and never get a virus. BUT when you use Limewire to download music and videos from other people's computers all over the world, you are exposing yourself to viruses from these other computers. Again, it's not Limewire. That's like blaming the phone company because you got a prank phone call.
If you remove Limewire from your computer, you do reduce the chance you'll ever use it and so you might have less chance of getting viruses. If you get rid of your telephone you won't get prank phone calls either.
Edit: Songs don't have viruses. Just make sure you're downloading songs (MP3s) and not other types of files. Make sure you have a decent anti-virus program running the whole time you're connected to the web as well. Your AV program should scan every file you download or open. And Limewire didn't give you a virus. Some file you thought looked good gave you the virus. The phone company isn't reponsible for prank phone calls either.

Limewire has no viruses, ads or spyware. Using the program itself is perfectly safe.
However if you download a program with it (or Internet Explorer or Firefox or whatever) and run it you could get a virus.
Uninstalling Limewire (or any other program) and not the virus itself will not fix your problem.
You need an antivirus program.

Limewire in and of itself doesnt contain any virus's. Only things that were downloaded with Limewire could have contained viruses "UNLESS" you downloaded limewire from a source allready infected with a virus and then yes you could have it. As to getting rid of it, getting rid of the program does not get rid of the virus. You have to find what virus and variants exist on your computer and get rid of them to clean your machine. Go to trendmicro housecall and run a complete system scan to see if you have any viruses or bugs.
