I'm having trouble with my Norton?

June 13th, 2008 · 5 Comments

I got a laptop as a present from my parents for Christmas last year and I installed Norton on it. It worked fine for about a month, but then started telling me that my subscription ran out. I re subscribed but it didn't ask for my credit card number.

It worked fine again for a couple of weeks, but then I started getting this message that my Auto Protect was turned off. I went to the settings to turn it on, but all it did was bring me to the updates and so I updated it, hoping it would work. It didn't so my auto protect won't turn on. I was hoping that someone has had this happen to them, and they know how to fix it. Help would be greatly appreciated!

My best advice is to uninstall Norton and throw it away. In my personal experience, it has caused more problems than it solved.

You can get security utilities which are just as good for free.

Yes, drop that Norton program and get micro trend PC-cilln security for your pc. It works Great! Norton is a loser! I had the same problem and I got rid of Norton. Micro trend works great on my cp. It up dates very day. And it even protects your wireless internet.

      Uninstall it. Install AVG free.

You know why you have a problem, Norton SUCKS, there are free ones a lot better than it, use those.
