in firefox how do you prevent same downloads?

I’m downloading programs and stuff on my computer. If i download the same file it will say openoffice (2) instead of telling me I all ready downloaded it. How do I have it either replace or cancel it.

      It stops the download automatically when I have the same file with the same name try deleting all your downloads.

      If you have openoffice and openoffice2 just delete openoffice and rename openoffice2 to just openoffice.
