Hi, I seem to be having a problem with Spybot Search & Destroy. I've been having multiple Spyware programs and viruses such as AntiSpywareMaster, Virtumonde, Double Click, Virtumonde.dll, and Spyhunter. I don't know how all of these programs are getting installed onto my computer, since I have deleted all old versions of Java and have followed this guide:
http://forums.majorgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=35407
So here's how it happened:
I was scanning with Spybot Search & Destroy until it found 3 Virtumonde files and 15 Virtumonde.dll files. When I click "Fix Selected Problems", it removes the Virtumonde files and only removes five Virtumonde.dll files. A pop-up appears and states: "Out of memory". (NOTE: I do not need extra RAM since I have 2gb. This is NOT a RAM problem.) I click OK and another pop-up appears stating: "Failed to load C:\Program Files\Spybot - Search Destroy\DelZip179.dll".
I'm thinking that that file is the file that packs the .zip recovery files. NOTE: I wont reformat
Please help.

First do an online scan and clean with http://www.bitdefender.com/scan8/ie.html AND http://www.ewido.net/en/onlinescan/ . Next you download the installer for the latest version of Spybot. Boot to Safe Mode and uninstall Spybot. Manually delete all remaining folders relating to it; run a registry cleaner. Reboot to Safe Mode with networking, install Spybot using the installer you downloaded, update it and run a scan.

Go on safe mode and delete the programs manually. Something is letting them in so you should run a good anti backdoor scanner so you should get: http://www.pctools.com/spyware-doctor/google_pack/
Hope it works!

Try using this program. (http://www.superantispyware.com) This spyware program will get rid of all the spyware that is loaded on your computer, and I do mean "All" and it is Free. You have to be very careful of some programs. Spybot search and destroy file might have gotten corrupted during the process. Now the spyware program that I mention above does the same job as spybot, and my opinion (it is much better) So download and install ad run a scan right away and i am sure that you will be happy with the results. Good Luck

Hi,….
I'd recommend you turn off System Restore (so infections are not restored) boot into Safe Mode and perform a full scan using some of the best spyware scanners:
* Lavasoft Adaware
* SpyBot S&D
* 1-2-3 Spyware Free
* McAfee Stinger (for trojans)
If this still fails to resolve your issue I would recommend using a boot CD or slaving your hard drive and scanning. Either of these ultimately mean that Windows is not loaded so is not locking/protecting the files you need to remove. There's an article that I can recommend giving this advice in more detail and linking to the tools needed to remove viruses, trojans and spyware etc at My Slow PC - http://www.MySlowPC.net/ - just click on "Troubleshooting".
Good luck!
