Installed Driver and Get BSOD (blue Screen)?

October 15th, 2008 · 2 Comments

I just reinstalled my OS. After I did that I started to reinstall my drivers so that my computer would work. I got everything working except for the sound. so i checked the device manager and it said I was missing the multimedia something driver 2 of them. So I had my computer search for the driver because I have a sound blaster x fi sound card and I went to install it but then I got the blue screen. I keep getting this when I try to install drivers what should I do? Also I believe it says that the sound card is installed yet when I go into sound and audio under the control panel and go to volume it says there are no speakers, but my speakers are installed inside my monitor and I installed my monitor software. why isn’t my computer recognizing the speakers? Is it because the multimedia driver isn’t installed or is the sound card different than the multimedia driver? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
