Have Vista. Installed Symantec Antivirus after Norton 360 expired. Internet issues arose after removal of Norton 360 from computer. Windows firewall is disabled. Not sure what to look for to figure out what is blocking it.
the ipv6 connectivity on mine does not say local but is still connected.
the ipv4 connectivity says local and internet.
Network and sharing center say that i am connected to the internet and to the local network. No program will get through to the net though.
Any suggestions?

It probably has something to do with Symantec Antivirus you installed. Normally if there is a fire wall you might have to put down the security level. Try to uninstall the new software and reinstall it.

Ohh man i had that problem too. I think ur computer is infected, and if so i recommend rebooting or restarting the whole computer.

avg is the best antivirus program available in my opinon. Most antivirus programs lock down your computer like norton does but avg dosent, and its still just as effective as norton…and did i mention its free ; )
