i have internet explorer 7 and vista, my internet will be working fine, and all of a sudden it shuts itself down and says there was a problem that caused internet explorer to shut down, then when i check my error history or something like that it says that mcafee securitycenter caused the problem, and theres never any updates or anything else that would make it work, its really annoying and will never stop, usually it closes once or twice a day, but recently its been getting worse, today its closed down about ten times, its driving me crazy

Firstly, I would recommend Firefox (http://www.getfirefox.com).
If that doesn't suit you, I would try to run some sort of Anti Spyware scan. SpyBot Search and Destroy (www.safer-networking.org/) is an awesome FREE one that has been around for a long time. There are several spyware and adware programs that attack IE and make it act goofy.
Another option is to try to run a full virus scan and see if anything comes up.
As a last resort, uninstall Internet Explorer and then re install it. Perhaps the program has corrupted somewhere.

Somewhere in the menus of I.E. (I forget where; I don't use I.E.) is an option to disable/enable plugins. Find that option and disable all the plugins. If the problem goes away, you can go back in and enable them a few at a time until you find the culprit. (Otherwise, I'd suggest downloading and using Firefox.)
