Every time I close out an internet explorer window, all the internet explorer windows that are open close and says “windows internet explorer has stopped working” when I click “cancel” on it, it then says “windows internet explorer is restarting” and will open up a fresh IE window if I don’t click cancel. Either way I lose everything that I’m working on or browsing. I have Windows Vista and it’s not a virus, it’s always been like this, I can’t take it. Please no answers “Vista sucks” since that doesn’t help me as other people who have the same problem asked and got those answers. Thank you for your help!!

Try running windows update if you're sure it's not a virus. If that fails try a registry repair program from download.com or some other reputable site.
If all else fails, you could run a system restore and restore to a point before this started happening.
