I decided to download Firefox, but everytime I click on it, IE stops working. I also installed Norton Anti-Virus and I'm not sure which caused it.

Dudette, it's somewhat difficult to discover cause and effect when you start installing several different software programs in a relatively short period of time. First off, I hate Symantec and it can cause unusual behavior unless you are running the latest version. Also, I hope you "fully" uninstalled any previous anti-virus software before installing Norton. I would suggest you temporarily uninstall Firefox and Yahoo! toolbar and see if that resolves your Internet Explorer problem. If it doesn't, then I would suspect some form of Norton conflict or perhaps a firewall conflict (assuming your version of Norton comes with a firewall). Again, make sure you don't still have a previous anti-virus or firewall program installed (Windows XP firewall is ok and can live with Norton but should be turned off). Also, assuming no conflicts, you need to run Live Update and make sure all Norton program updates are installed. If Internet Explorer is still OK, then add the Yahoo! toolbar (toolbar.yahoo.com) to IE (yes, I know you are interested in the Firefox toolbar) and make sure everything is OK. Once that is accomplished, then re-install Firefox and make sure everything is OK and then install the Yahoo! toolbar for Firefox and check again. The bottom line is follow an orderly methodology to isolate the problem. You can add details to your original question to clarify things. Good luck Dudette.
