What the hell is with all these anti virus programs?
Im using one called Kaspersky Internet security which says my computers safe but then theres these other things which keep poping up and telling me somethings wrong. So i go into them and try to remove all threats but it says i have to pay to activate it.
Anyone got a free internet security program i can use? Knowing me i'll probably download another virus.
PS: Yes i know im an internet noob but help me out.
Well I'm using Opera, ands Windows Anti-virus telling that theres a attack detected.

Download and run SuperAntiSpyware.

What you have is a common adware scam. The only thing that is infection your computer is the adware that is popping up those windows asking for money to activate it.
I recommend using these Programs. They are free!
These first two DOS-based applications, but that is one of the reasons they work so well on your kind of problem! Don't be afraid using DOS applications, just follow the instructions and everything will be fine. In the Kaizer Killer, all you have to do is to double-click the application and it automatically removes most viruses in a heartbeat. Just use them in Safe Mode (to start in Safe Mode, press F8 a couple of times before the boot logo appears, you will be prompted to select one of the Startup options, and choose Safe Mode.)

Once you get rid of the problem get a proper sofware instead of that kaspersky. This one is one of the best antivirus available free or paid for. Do not run this at the same time as your Kaspersky, you can only every run one antivirus at at time.
Avira AntiVir Personal Edition Classic (Free)

You can run this at the same time as the Antivir.
Spyware Doctor Starter Edition (Free)

Running it requires a lot of RAM and uses a big deal of resources on CPU. I suggest only running it when you need to scan, and not all the time.

Those pop-ups are scams, trying to trick you into thinking you have a virus so you'll buy their anti-virus product. Ignore them.
Download Firefox (http://www.mozilla.com) and use it as your web-browser rather than Internet Explorer; you'll see a lot less of these pop-ups (and arguably, have a better, safer web experience).

I must also agree with the last answerer and recommend downloading and installing Firefox 3 web browser. Those pop-ups you're talking about are a very common problem for Internet Explorer web browser. Why do you want a free security program when you already have Kaspersky? Kaspersky's internet security is one of the most trusted and if it says your computer is clean then it most likely is clean.

Kaspersky Internet Security is actually the best protection available…
Those things popping out are just the "rules" that Kaspersky lets you create, you can create rules for any program that's attempting to run or enter your computer, if you trust that program you can just click on allow it to start always or always ask me, but if it's unknown you can block it partially or permanently, Kaspersky lets you do that and that's one of the reasons it is the best.
