Is anyone familiar with Kaspersky Internet Security firewall?

Under settings for firewall, where it say (rules for packet filtering) are you supposed to have all boxes checked off? because right now I only have a few that where set by Kaspersky and the rest are not checked off. I don't understand this because all the unchecked boxes have block next to it and list malicous software.
