There is no catch, many of the ISP supply Internet Security. Mcafee detection and removal has improved recently. I would rate the protection higher than AVG. It's actually did better than most anti-virus software in recent tests. My only problem with Mcafee is it is a ram hog. If you have plenty of ram, you should be ok. If you notice slow downs then you may want to look at something else.
