I got the 30 day free trial for avg antivirus. When i scan all computer does it search for virusus and spyware or do i need to download a spyware protector. Please explain this is confusing for e=me. IF possible give me links to a free spyware protector. Is there a antivirus that is free. Pleas links is best.

Why not look up the features on their websites. They will tell you if they are meant for viruses, spyware, or both.

I believe it only scans for viruses.
If you want some good free antispyware try these. They do have paid versions but its optional. The paid versions are for real time scanning, real time protection, etc

You need three things on your pc to protect it properly. An anti-virus, anti-spyware and a firewall. Presently I like nod32 from eset.com to protect against viruses and spyware. And the free version of zonealarm as a firewall.
Some programs protect against both spyware and viruses and some only protect against one or the other.
For the best of any of them, look through several reviews that are found with a google search for best anti-virus, etc.
