A file called dpmodem.dll is infected with W32/trojan2.bthh
I’ve used Virgin Media PC Guard anti-virus + anti-spyware
-Anti-Virus picks it up but it can’t disinfect the file, delete it, or quarentine it
I’ve used AVG free 8.0.
- It has found a lot of others i didn’t even know about
- It has found and deleted 2 files connected with dpmodem.dll but the virus still exists in C:\windows\system32
I have a LAN connection [a big wire running through the house] at the moment.
We might be getting a wireless router again in the future hopfully
Is dpmodem.dll if forced deleted with AVG Free 8.0 will it be deeply missed by Windows XP and start crashing or causing problems?
Please please help as I would like to be rid of this damn thing! =P
