I use Kaspersky Internet Security, and Malwarebytes Anti-Malware, and they both seem to catch different virus’
I was wondering if its safe for my computer to have them both open down at the quicklaunch bar, I dont mean to run them both at once as in doing virus scans at once
I have my kaspersky to run a full scan every 5 days at 6am
and I dont have my malwarebytes to automatically scan
I only have it check for updates at 4am
and "Protection Module enabled"
(Im not an expert to all of this, so I don’t know what everything does)
I just dont want them both to interfere with eachother and harm my computer, or slow it down
Please, any info will help!
Thank you
Also!
I have SystemSuite running, but Its not really set up for anti-virus
It does a system recovery, but I sometimes run a deep scan, and JetDefrag

No they won’t bother each other. Like you said don’t run both scans at the same time and you should be fine. I have both.

they should be okay, if you have problems with those two, just put malwarebytes in thr trusted programs of kaspersky.

They work just fine but catch different virus because kaspersky is anti virus and malwarebytes is anti malware, they do different jobs .Also, the ”protection module” of malwarebytes is for computer memory protection,it also blocks malicious IP attacks ,so don’t worry, just keep them updated and scan with malwarebytes only if your av can’t remove a virus.

malwarbytes is meant to be used as additional protection because a antivirus is usually not enough and is safe to use with Kaspersky or any other AV. BTW Kaspersky is one of the best AV’s out there and with MWB you have very rock solid protection.
