i have one that my laptop in-built wireless device picks, and one PC card based wireless device connection.
i was wondering whether norton and zonealarm can work properly screening for security threats at both simultaneously.
is it a security hazard to be connected through two seperate IP?
i am not using a rooter. the one that the inbuilt wireless modem is accessing a public wireless connection (without security) and the PC card is connecting direcly to my ISP.

It would depend on your router, do you have a firewall? Do you have a web key? This would help you security, but does not 100% guaranty your computers.

Well if your worried about someone watching your activity or something then you want to make sure you have your wireless secuirity turned on. Multiple computers has no effect on that. As for for anti-virus and anti-malware they only work for the PC they are installed on so if they are on both PCs then they are working. Now the biggy Norton and Zonealarm are crap and system hogs you really should replace them. NOD32 is one of the best anti-viruses out and extremely light. As for spyware you have a few good choices free you can go with windows defender, threatfire, or ad-aware. Threatfire and Ad-aware do offer upgraded versions that do more that you pay for but i use both free versions with NOD32 and never have a Problem with my PC. NOD offers a 30 day trial i suggest you try it you will notice your PC running alot faster as long as you fully remove norton.
