My ex-boyfriend works at Microsoft ( and very smart with IT, and computer progamming) and wanted to check out a used but new to me laptop that was given to me by my sister. He messed around for an hour going through the mainframe and who else knows what. I very ignorantly and trustingly didnt ask what he was doing or watch. and now when I start my computer, I get a blip of something (a box with numbers or letters) on screen for a few seconds, so I dont know what it is. is it possible he installed a program or manipulated my computer so that he can monitor my activity? If your asking, yes, he is the sort of person who would do this. If it is possible, how do I check for it and diable his access?
How would I know if someone is monitoring my computer? Is there a way to check?

Yes it is possible, but I do not know how to remove the program unless I know what it is. You can clean your hard drive and delete everything that after you backed up all your data…….NOT SURE confusing
You can download COMODO FIREWALL PRO
this monitors all incoming connections if somone trys to monitor your pc activities.
