approximately 1 month ago I installed the avg antivirus 8 free edition and one day I tried to reinstall it, so I unistalled it, but when I tried to install it again, it gave me an error “action failed for file avgwdsvc.exe: starting service….Error 0×800736b1″, which means that I could not install it whatever I tried to do. I downloaded the kaspersky antivirus, but during the installation it says that avg 8 must be removed. I go to the add/remove programs, but the avg does not stand there. C:\Program Files\AVG is also deleted
Any ideas?

sounds like you may need to remove it from your registry……
also….. LISTEN!!!!!! do not use kapersky!!!!!! my computer is really fast. i loaded kapersky to just try them out and it slowed my computer down so much that i could not stand it…… i now use AVG 8 the pay version. i have tried all of the security trials til i found avg. avg works and is worth the money. the only other one i liked a little was windows one care. but the product review people gave it is really bad.
wqhy didn’t you like avg free?????? i liked it enough to buy the 8 version…… also try turning avg 8 off and then try reloading it.
