for some reason even though i often clean my files up, my laptop continues to lose disk space thru, an anti virus software that often downloads updates, sometimes in the 40 to 50 mb, and on top of that y regular windows update, is it safe to delete updates i installed months, and month ago, again i dont download music or movies, and my system is really low on memory, and im getting scared
thanks all

No, those are mostly security updates, removing them would leave you open to attack.

Windows updates are mostly security related, or to improve the performance of Windows / your pc. Un-installing them them is inadvisable.
If your hard drive is getting full, see if you can archive some files to e.g. CD/ DVD. If the memory is low the only option is to increase it, if you're able to, it's comparatively inexpensive at the moment.

Deleting these folders does not uninstall the security updates . These are only the information required should you need to uinstall one via the add/remove programs.
Your talking about the file under the Windows directory. Example: C:\Windows\$NtServicePackUninstallIDNMitigationAPIs$
Just don't delete this folder: $hf_mig$
These folders contain the uninstall information for each Microsoft update you install. That means that you will be unable to uninstall the updates if you delete these folders. You may leave them there unless you need hard drive space. If your system is stable, and if you no longer plan to uninstall an update, then go ahead and remove the corresponding $NtUninstall… folders. Or you may move those folders to a different hard drive, or burn them to CD before deleting them from the hard drive.
These can also be removed as they are just install folders. C:\4633bc0687e6970b8e63a999ac1f7a
the alternative is to buy a larger hard drive.
