A lot of people I know who use Kaspersky say its the best. But a lot of other PC users tell me it isn’t worth the cost and you can get just about the same protection from free software. So, who is right, which provides the best protection?

Kaspersky is a good Antivirus but as people say why pay for something when you can get something which is just as good for Free
I use and recommend Avast
Please don’t use AVG , it is one of the more popular free antivirus but its not up to the standard of Avast or Avira

Kaspersky is among the best. Most free antivirus solutions are inferior to Kaspersky. The people who say you can get the same protection for free just don’t know better. Granted, a free solution is better than no antivirus (and can still be pretty good), but Kaspesky has significantly higher detection rates than free programs.

The best FREE one out there is AVAST. The best one to pay for is ESET NOD32~ I feel either choice is good.
