is linux compatable with onecare and mcafee 2009 and all other softwares?

i was thinking about moving to a linux and i know absoulety nothing about linux to be frank with you and i looked at a picture of linux's sidebar and it looks so ugly is that true and is linux a good os to use please explain your answer, thanks.

      No. Windows software runs on Windows machines, Mac software runs on Mac machines, and Linux programs run on Linux machines. If you are only interested, or mostly so, in Windows games, forget it. Otherwise it is far faster, far more secure, has a massive selection of different Window Managers, and equivalents of all the normal office, image editing, music and video software of Windows free. Many of my customers have switched to it totally or in part.
