Also I have been a vegetarian for 9 months and I havent lost any weight. I not a veggie to loss weight, but after I read a lot about people having the weight just drop off of them when they went veggie I thought that it would be a nice added side effect. Any insight?
I wanted to clear up my question because there is some confusion. As to the weight question I understand the knowledge behind losing weight (burn more calories than u eat) I just wanted insight from vegetarians as to whether or not they lost weight because all I every read from vegetarians is that they lost weight when they first became one. About the mac-n-cheese question the restaurant that I walking about is called "Popeyes Chicken". I want to know if "Popeyes Chicken" mac-n-cheese is made with any animal products such as chicken broth (as some people make their mac-n-cheese with broth and not water). Vegetarians would know about this as just because something looks like its vegetarian does not mean that it actually is. Look at Caesar salad (fyi the dressing has sardines in it–cant tell by looking at it or reading the name) Thanks for all the comments so far.

I can't answer the question about Popeye's Chicken Mac-N-Cheese, because my local Popeye's doesn't carry it.
However, about losing weight … losing weight isn't necessarily a by-product of eating vegetarian meals. Losing weight is a matter of enough exercise and the amount of food eaten.
If you kept the calorie count the same when you gave up meat, then, obviously, you will not lose any weight.

Not giving up meat does not mean weight loss. Burning more calories then you eat leads to weight loss. I'm guessing the cheese they use uses animal rennet.

Not unless chickens have recently been reclassified as vegetables.

If you wanna eat something vegetarian at any restaurant, pick the vegetarian places. I highly doubt that chicken mac and cheese is vegetarian, so don't touch it.
As for losing weight, people do simply because they start eating more fruits and vegetables every day. There are many fattening vegetarian foods, just as there are in a meat eater's diet. You need to also take into consideration any exercise being done. You can't expect it to come off by just eating. Also, stop sodas and junk food. That'll help you lose some weight.
Vegetarians lose weight the same way anyone else does. Try to spend at least 30 minutes walking after a meal. You'll burn off some calories, and eventually will start losing weight. Don't just sit in front of the TV because you think being a vegetarian will somehow make you skinnier. There are fat vegetarians, too.

Chicken and most likely cheese utilizing calf rennet is used. So definitely not veggie, even without the chicken.
Ditch the dirty dairy and you'll lose weight.

No, Popeye's mac & cheese is not vegetarian. They use chicken broth and lard (basically pig fat) in it.
As for your next question, yes I lost a little bit of weight when I went vegetarian (about 3 lbs) and lost about 5 more when I went vegan. That said, I was already very small at 112 lbs so I guess it all depends on how much weight you have to take off.
