Is private browsing really private on a mac?

I know if you delete all your history and passwords and forms and all that on a windows computer, it's still logged somewhere you've been to the places you're trying to hide.

I've been playing this MMORPG game for a week that I'm very ashamed of now, I'd been using private browsing on safari with my mac.

Does using private browsing really not leave ANY tracks of where you've been?
JUST ANSWER THE QUESTION, I want to hide that i've been on an mmorpg, is private browsing really private?
