Ok…. i have an A205-S4607 and it's running Ubuntu 8.04. I have installed aircrack-ng using apt-get install aircrack-ng which worked fine (i think). now when i run airmon-ng it finds the driver but it says MONITOR MODE NOT SUPPORTED. How do i fix this so i can use monitor mode?

You can check out madwifi for drivers
If you are lucky you will find the drivers there

that laptop has Intel 4965 AGN wireless
and intel has always been problematic with wifi hacking
so I would say not at the moment but there is this wiki that may help

People have had limited success up to this point. For now, search the Forum for “4965” to get the most up-to-date information.
