Okay, I’ve looked through almost every question on here relating to this one. And NONE of them have helped me.
I’ve tried Frostware, Limewire, Ares, EVERYTHING! NOTHING WORKS FOR ME! (I’d go to open the program and it JUST WOULDN’T OPEN!) Then I’ve tried the websites people recommend for downloading music straight off of it. No! It doesn’t work! It even SAYS it has harmful viruses on there! IT’S PATHETIC!
I haven’t tried Torrents yet, but I’m not sure of those either! EVERYTHING. HAS. FUCKING. VIRUSES.
Yes, I know I’m being extremely picky. AND I KNOW, that ALL p2p programs have viruses SOMEHOW. But is there a program where I can simply just download music without killing my computer? I don’t feel like scanning my computer everyday for 3 hours because of a stupid song!
Note: Don’t bother telling me to try Limewire or Frostwire again. I’m not going to. I just want an answer to my question (and I’ll repeat again. :/) Is. There. A. Program. I can. Download. Without. Getting. Viruses. Or. Spyware?
Thank you, buh bye~.

Common sense….
make sure (in whatever application you are using) to be downloading a properly sized .mp3 file
That would normally be around 3000-5000kbs or 3-5mbs
Either way….. thats the normal range…. if you are downloading something thats 128kbs then its a virus most likely…. normally bigger files arent viruses but they arent what your looking for……
at the same time…. loook out for files that have the EXACT wording that you used in the same order that pop up with a ton of peer right away…. those are normally also fake…. just educate yourself on you should be safe…. but other than that…. n00bs will fuck up their computers if they dont bother learning about them….. so their is no other option

“I don’t feel like scanning my computer everyday for 3 hours because of a stupid song!”
Then why don’t you pay for the music? Idiot.

You’re asking how to commit a crime safely, and that’s just not possible. If someone hosts music files on a central server, they get shut down quickly by law enforcement. The only way to survive is by using P2P, which is harder to trace and shut down. But this same distributed model means there’s no central authority and no way to verify a file is what it claims to be. Hackers love taking advantage of greedy criminals, since they’re easy prey. What are you going to do, complain to the police that you were trying to steal one thing and got tricked? Not much sympathy there. Even if you do manage to avoid malware, you’re still vulnerable to criminal charges and lawsuits for illegal downloading. If you’re in the US, Congress is passing more laws making the punishments harsher and making ti easier to track down illegal downloaders.
If you want to be safe, you need to get your music legally. That means paying for it, not stealing it. If you are a criminal, you have no right to complain when you get burned by your fellow criminals or law enforcement.
