Is there a security camera that can be used with my local network?

Need a camera to keep a watchful eye on my kids while I work in another room in my house on the computer. Is there such a product with a software that will allow a monitoring window on my desktop?

      Yes, there are plenty of products available. Depends what you want and on what scale. A single camera can cost anywhere from $50 to over $2500. I haven't personally used any such equipment, but you can get either a wired or wireless device and watch from your own PC. Try the websites below:

      there's no reason why you shouldn't be able to mount a cellphone cam (just a bracket on a wall) with some system platform software on board that links it up, but they just make them for the run-of-the-mill stuff - a development like that is a personal undertaking - try:
