is there a way to uninstall programs in mass quantities?

I’m trying to install windows 7, but thre is not enough room on my hard drive to do so. i need to delete programs, is there any other way i can do so besides going to control panel and deleting each one individually? becuase that takes too long. I have an HP by the way, with windows XP. thank you everyone! (:
