So I’m on the internet when this thing called "Total Security 2009" pops up and starts scanning my computer. It then says I have 38 viruses (Not True!) and wants me to buy the virius protection crapola. It also found a way to change my desktop image so it says "WARNING! YOU’RE IN DANGER! YOUR COMPUTER IS INFECTED WITH SPYWARE!" and all this other stuff. It even says "FOR YOUR BOSS, YOUR FRIENDS, YOUR WIFE, YOUR CHILDREN every site you or somebody or even something, like spyware, opened in your browsers, with all the images, and all the downloaded and maybe later removed movies or mp3 songs - ARE STILL THERE and could break your life!" Honestly, what the heck?
What’s worse is that it won’t let me open AIM, AOL, anything, really. I can’t even open MS Paint! I’m surprised it’s letting me on internet explorer.
It also won’t let me open the "Add/Remove Programs" thing. Like when I click to open "Add/Remove Programs" It pops up for not even a second and goes away.
Is there another way to unintstall this thing? I don’t want to have to download anything else, either.
Also, when I click on something I keep getting that little speech bubble pop-up in the bottom right corner, which, when I tried to get on AIM, said "WARNING! Application cannot be executed. The file aim.exe is infected. Please activate your anivirus software."
My AIM isn’t infected, I was on it yesterday! =/
