Is uxtheme.dll safe for windows xp sp3?

Hi i want to make my pc look like windows vista. but the only way is to use a patch called uxtheme.dll
My pc can handle vista themes..
But i need to know if this uxtheme.dll is safe or not. Safe in the sense that,
Does it have spyware, virus etc?
Can it mess up system anyhow
Can it slow down pc?
Can it do anythin rong to ur pc?

I am using windows xp professional sp3.

UXtheme is normally safe provided the file comes from a trusted source. Before you download it from anywhere consider checking out the site using SiteAdvisor.com

I agree with SilverKi….just make sure you download from a trusted site and you should be fine.
