I Tried system restore that didnt work i tried removing java from programs folder that deleted all of it but when i tried to put java back on it says its already installed and cannot continue — when i try to remove it wont work and a error comes up now all of my java is gone and i cant get it back (update)

me too.. I installed JDK 6 update 12.. accidently messed up with the jdk folder directory structure.
Now When I try to remove from Addor Remove programs it gives fatal error. does not allow to re0install either.

download and run it 1x, then you have program to clean all msi programs
run it a second time to uninstall the msi cleaner.

I am having the same problem I play pogo a lot and it said I needed to update java. Well i go to download the new java and it said java already installed please delete previous program. So i go to add and remove and well go figure i hit uninstall it says it is then the whole screen disappears and it just WONT delete!! I have tried the cleaner and no luck. Also my freakin computer warranty was up today. HAHA Wonderful luck huh. Any other ideas to how to remove the dang program so I can install the updated?
I would GREATLY appreciate the help..

I have a worse problem… Ever since I updated Java yesterday through the auto-updater, my peripherals all crash 1-4 minutes after booting the computer. The monitors go dark, the mouse and keyboard are unresponsive, and after 10-20 seconds the sound output stops as well. I cannot remove the update from the Add/Remove screen and when I try to install the newest version of Java it just says “wizard was interrupted before installation is complete” and exits.
My computer is now only usable for 5 minutes at a time, typing this really fast
Anyone have this happen to them?

i have the same problem and its two months later.. this is so dumb, if any of you guys figured out how to fix this tell me
