The last couple days, I get this message on programs that require alot of CPU usage:
"Avp.exe stopped working"
I have plenty of memory and space on my computer and have run these high CPU usage programs before.
Nothing extra/new is running in the background.
I heard avp.exe is associated with Kaspersky.
I can’t find Kaspersky on my computer, so I can’t delete it.
Anyone know how to get rid of:
"avp.exe stopped running" errors
AND/OR
How to delete Kaspersky?
I ran HiJackThis (no problems) and scanned everything.
I’m on Vista 32 bit.

If you go to this link, and scroll down to Number 8, you will find the Kaspersky removal tool. I’ve never used it, so I don’t know how well it works.
