Hello. OK, here goes:Novice that I am, I had Kaspersky Security installed when I got my current HP. So far so good, seems to be doing a good job and I'm pretty careful where I go but have made some mistakes re: downloads, etc. Anyway, recently during scans the virus HEUR: Trojan.win32.GERIC has been coming up and from what I can learn it stems from a Java program? When Kaspersky says to quarantine("Reccomended"), I do of course, but then again in the same scan and I do again. Now, in the same scan comes up a 3rd time but now Kas says "Untreated: Written to Report", and it's in the report. ?#1- Why not Quarantined this time? Finally, in report cited in c:\windows\system32\java.exp and windows\system32\macromed\Flash\Flash9dc.ocx. ?#2- Is that where this virus exists? ?#3- And if so, how to eliminate. Thanks to all. Old and in the Way.
