I like kaspersky because i hear it is really good at catching virus,but is there much difference there antivirus program and there internet security????also does there internet security program protect my computer more without using alot of RAM???

use the antivirus if u want just file protection but if u want complete and comprehensive protection .. it has the antivirus as well as other4 features like spyware protection and firewall
as for ur ram question - the internet security will use MORE RAM… but not a lot more may be 10-20 mb more depending on features u turn on. if u have more than 1 GB of ram and a multi-core CPU. there wont be any performance lags

The main difference is if you want a third party firewall or have Kaspersky's instead. That is really the main difference. I had KIS 2009 on XP Pro - 1Gb and ran just fine, and now, I have Vista, 2Gb and still ran fine and I couldn't tell the difference with the speed and performance.
I don't know where he got the info from about 10Mb more and etc. Both products require the same specifications.

I have used both. Last year i used the internet security suite 15 in 1. This year i am using 5 in 1. I can't tell any difference in ram usage. To me it's the best one on memory i have had. It doesn't slow my computer down at all. The 15 in 1 for me was a little bit over kill. The 5 in one is just right for me. It has AV' AS and fire wall. Works very good against mal ware to. Drive by downloads also. It has the best real time response i ever had. Two years bug and virus free. It's worth 19 bucks a year to me. You will not get this good of protection from a freebie. Also' I have 1gb of ram. Runs smooth as silk.

Kaspersky antivirus is good if U dont want to buy whole internet security,IS will consume more RAM but will give more protection,RAM usage for IS : for XP 1 GB recommended ,for vista 2 GB recommended,If U want to install only antivirus then install superantispyware + Mcafee site adviser + web of Trust .ALONGSIDE BOTH KASPERSKY AV OR IS.
