Kaspersky Internet Security 7?

Everytime I open a Office document e.g. Word, it takes ages to open, when i close KIS7 it is much faster. How do I stop KIS7 scanning the files?

Man.i suggest you use Avg..cuz its really good and it consumes less system resources compared to other programs

i think you may have scheduled the scan tasks
For e.g- you sit at 7:00 pm to work and you open the document
at that time only scan starts…so i feel u should configure the options..

I've used AVG (which I am still) and Avast anti-virus programs - I find them both better than Kaspersky

right click the K sign at the taskbar.. find the threats and exclusions option then go to the trusted zone tab.. go to trusted applications and search for microsoft office applications then add them.. by the way, mine never scans them and takes the same time i open them without activating kaspersky.. and for those two who answered, kaspersky is way better than avast or avg.. i bet that if they install kaspersky into their computer and scan it, they will find viruses they never would have discovered using their antivirus.. and as for the ranking of these antivirus softwares, the link is
