Kaspersky not working?

Okay, so i have an acer aspire 5920 notebook, and i have Kaspersky Internet Security 2009.
Earlier today i was having trouble with my java runtime, so then as windows suggested i downloaded the newer version.
A while after that windows defender found a trojan file on my computer, so i went to kaspersky to sort it out. When i went on kaspersky is was red, saying that there was a problem that needed to be fixed, it said that i needed to restart the system because of newly installed something (i cant really remember) and when i looked on the infection list, it said that i needed to restart the computer to fix the trojan.

So as it said i restarted my computer, however now when i try to start kaspersky, it instantly goes to stopped working and windows is looking for solutions.

I dont know whats gone wrong with my laptop or how to fix it, could someone please help me….???????
