I recently purchased Kaspersky Internet Security from Best Buy. It seemed like a good deal, after comparing it to Norton and McAfee. But I’ve never heard or Kaspersky, much less seen it in other electronic stores (Before I went to Fry’s Electronics and all they had was Norton and McAfee).
Have you heard of Kaspersky before, and if so, which you recommend, Kaspersky, Norton, or McAfee? If you purchased Kaspersky before, was it from Best Buy or another store?

Kaspersky is the best you will get. I have it on my machine. Norton is over bloated and McAfee doesn't have the detection rate of Kaspersky. Kaspersky runs lighter and is guaranteed if your computer is clean it will stay clean. I have had it on mine for close to year and have been to some "iffie" websites. I even messed up here one night and clicked one of those Trojan/ Mal Ware links that those bots have been posting here on answers. Not one infection on my computer. It stopped it dead in it's tracts before it could even get started. It wouldn't even allow me to go to the site the link was trying to take me to. You will get no better than Kaspersky. Norton is over bloated and acts like a Trojan. When you try to delete it it doesn't want to go. You can use there un-installer and still have problems deleting the program. McAfee doesn't have a very good detection rate. It's slow and uses to much memory. I have use all the free ones out there and Norton & McAfee. None of them have held a candle to Kaspersky. Try it, You won't be sorry.

ya ive heard of kaspersky before. i didnt really like it compared to norton 360. i prefer Norton 360 because it doesn’t bother me as much as kaspersky and mcafee and norton removes any unwanted things instantly. mcafee doesn’t even work

I use Kaspersky, I love it. Great detection rate, doesn’t slow your pc. Better than anything else I’ve tried.

I switched from Norton to Kaspersky Anit-virus about a year ago and love it. It doesn’t bother me like Norton, it runs much faster, plus it cured my computer of crashing. I will never go back to Norton.
No idea what user “McBever” is talking about. Norton 360 bothers you every 2 minutes, whereas Kaspersky pops up once a month. Sounds like a shill for Norton.

There is a different opinion, With the latest release of symantec, Norton Internet Security 2009
Symantec has been the most user friendly and much better than kaspersky Internet security.
NIS 2009 has a very low need of Graphics.
Its scanning rate is much faster than that of any other antivirus software.
Anybody tried the trial version can feel the difference.
May all others be able to compete with symantec.
More over they provide tecnical support and virus removal via remote login, so along with the release of NIS 2009 . They are a unbeatable now….
