check your video drivers or maybe bad ram.

A blue screen is often dubbed "blue screen of death" as it will often shut down your computer for no apparent reasons. This usually happens on some of the older models of Windows, such as windows 98 or 2000.

To completely make sure that this is fixed, you'll have to reformat your system. Reformatting will delete everything on your hard drive, including programs and files, but it resets the system files to its original state which will fix almost any software problem encountered. I cannot tell you exactly how to reformat because i don't know which version of windows you are using, so you'll have to search "reformat windows" in google and follow the appropriate steps.

Oh dear, sounds as though it is the dreaded 'Blue screen of Death'.

This means something substantial has happened and it desperately needs to be seen by a technician who knows what they are doing…. Probably a system failure

If you can get into it, do so and get off all your files onto a memory stick or a CD. Then go see someone.

The blue screen you are seeing is called the "Bluescreen of Death" for computers. You dont have to take this literally coz it doesn't really "kill" your laptop. Some causes of this blue screen could be a newly installed hardware and/or software, outdated drivers, and corrupt registry keys or files. Every computer I have used my whole life always had a bluesreen of death. This is completely normal. Its kinda like a human being who needs to get sick otherwise you are not normal. Anyway, there are ways on how you can fix this.

You can reinstall your operating system or reformatting your hard drive.

You could format your hard drive completely, then install a fresh copy of your OS, with all the drivers.

You could set your computer to a restore point that was saved in the past to get your last known good configurations.

Now personally, I would just format my whole drive and install a new copy, and if you have alot of important files on, save these to an external storage media, like a cd or external hard drive.

But if you dont want to take that risk, you can try setting it back to a previous point where everything was working fine.

It's called Blue Screen Of Death and it's the message that Windows (any Win) posts when it chrashes. To solve it i need the error code that's put after the STOP. You can see it if you stop the automatic reboot: Start, right click My Computer, Properties, Advanced, Startup and Recovery Settings, Untick Automatically Restart, OK to all. Next time when it happens write the entire message and post it.
