This is odd…I set up our computer in a room in a house we just moved into. Very old house, btw. Everything was running fine and then eventually the breaker trips for that room (dryer was on…problem we see from time to time). Everything goes down. No problem…go outside, reset the breaker. Everything else comes back on BUT the LCD monitor. Keep in mind that everything was on an APC power strip. I know the PC is in Windows because I can remote desktop in and log in just fine. So, I replace with a completely different LCD monitor. This is where it gets odd. That monitor will show video only for about a half second. This is from POST through Windows. If I shut off and power on, I can only see video for half second then it goes black. Green LED on monitor. Tried multiple outlets in house….same issue. Bring BOTH LCD's in with me to work…they both work fine.
IDEAS???
Let's add more details here…
I've replaced all cables, no change. I plugged my monitor into my laptop and had the exact same issue.
The PC startes up just fine…I tried multiple video cards also. SAME issue. I have no onboard video on my PC. Could this be some strange power issue with the house?

Well my friend, if I didn't know any better and you've checked the obvious, (cables plugged in, LCD works with other computer)
I think your GPU has failed, does your PC beep a bunch of times on startup, too? If it does its probably a graphics failure.
Try unplugging whatever after market graphics solution you have (if any) and powering on again with the monitor plugged in to the on board.
