I cannot uninstall because my computer is thinking that the printer is still trying to delete. I have unplugged everything, turned off everything, cancelled everything. Still says “deleting….error.” What can I do since I can’t uninstall because my computer thinks the printer is still working. I am running vista basic with this lexmark all in one. Thanks!

1. If you have cleared the que (Click on Start | Control Panel | Printers) and there is only one copy of the printer listed here. Double click on it and make sure all the items are deleted or set to delete).
2. Turn off the printer and shut down windows. Unplug the printer from the back of the tower. Turn the computer back on and start tapping the F8 key on the keyboard. Continue to tap it until the startup menu comes up.
Choose “Safe-Mode”. Once in Safe-mode, remove the printer, also make sure there is not printer drivers/software in Programs in the Control Panel.
Reboot.
That should clear the drivers. Now you can re-install the drivers, plugging the printer in when prompted.
–Will watch for any additional details and will update if needed.
