I have an oldish mac (Powerbook G4, 12-inch). I recently dropped it and now the Wireless Network PCI card is broken and I have no wireless internet connection. I have been looking at USB External Wireless Network Adapter, but they all seem to be only compatible with Windows operating system, ie. the installation that comes with the adapter is for Windows OS. Are there any USB External Wireless Network Adapter out there that is compatible with a mac?
what i mean is, besides installing an airport card (because the original one is broken and I don't want to get it replaced), what else can you do? I actually searched for a USB wireless network card adapter that is compatible with mac. hope this helps other people:

I believe the 12inch Powerbooks have wireless capability built in. So external network adapters are not your only choice. The Powerbook has antennas built into the sides of the display. A good idea instead of having a network adapter sticking out of the sides of your laptop.
To take advantage of this you would need to purchase an Airport extreme card and insert into your laptop. It is installed near the battery of the laptop. Instructions are below. It takes a little work but well worth it.

Here is the Airport extreme card if you want to purchase it.

If you really need a Usb or pci network adapter. Feel free to email me. It may take some work..
Good Luck!
