Mac: Unchangeable Wallpaper?

June 25th, 2008 · 1 Comment

Is there any way to 'lock' a wallpaper on your mac osx desktop? My brother keeps changing it to his video game wallpapers (which are either really gory or full of scantily clad women) and I`d like to be able to choose a wallpaper we`ll all like as a family, then lock it so he cannot change it. He`s not computer savvy in any way so any kind of trick to make the wallpaper unchangeable will be a great help.
Thanks!

It IS possible to create 'users' on your computer. So that settings like background and colour schemes and desktop icons arrangement and all sorts of stuff like that are all separate and individual for each 'user'.
Why not make up a separate one for him so that he can make it look however he wants it to be, and the other user account for the rest of the family can be more appropriately themed? :)
Best bet would be to do a search for user accounts and find a site that gives a tutorial or somesort
      good luck!
