Using Norton I was able to locate registry folder containing the program but unable to delete. I was able to locate an application folder also connected with the problem in C:/documents and settings/owner/application data/microsoft/dtsc/2830.exe. I can only follow the location as far as the dtsc folder and find something called an 's file' but cant find the .exe–this 's file' shows that it was created at the exact time the malware became apparent today. If I try to delete this entire dtsc folder will it eliminate the malware program entirely? I dont know what these things are, took a short computer course over 5 years ago and only know enough about computers to know how to find what NOT to touch and understand that I want the .exe file because I think that is what causes the program to 'execute' hence the .exe identifier. Malware is still running even when Norton says it has been deleted and trying to redirect to sites other than the home page. Please help if you can.

First, get rid of norton and get Avast antivirus its free. Search for it on google. Also, download spybot search and destroy which is also free. Then scan your pc again and it will get rid of it.
