Malware Removal Bot and McAfee?

March 19th, 2009 · 3 Comments

I had a virus on my computer that McAfee was not detecting. It was that Antivirus 1 that says you have all these infected things on the computer, but really you dont. I read here on yahoo answers that i should download malwarebytes, so i downloaded it and it scanned my computer and had 200 something infected files. Now my McAfee is picking up the malwarebytes program as a trojan??? Is it a virus or am i supposed to delete mcafee and only have one viruse scanner so it wont interfere with the other?? thanks in advance

empty the virus vault on malwarebytes,
      delete everything in quarantine.

seems like McAfee is only just detecting the problems now malwarebytes has found them.

McAfee is not very good at self protection so it could be infected also.

      ANtivirus 1 is a rogue.

      What is rogue?
      http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rogue_software

Go to safeweb.com to see if sites are safe.

And no antivirus 1 is makeing mcafee do that so you cant remove it if it was rogue it woudent be on a popular download website.

McAfee may be detecting the quaratine section of malwarebytes. I haven't noticed that problem with any other antivirus program as of yet. You should submit a support ticket to McAfee so that they can correct any issue
