McAfee blocking all sites…?

April 3rd, 2008 · 3 Comments

So every time I open up firefox or internet explorer a page comes up that says something like "McAfee blocked an inapporopriate site and if you think it's a mistake, report it to a McAfee administrator." Not exact words though. But that was on my pc account, and I'm now on my mom's account and she hass the computer administrator account, and all of the web sites are loading now. They just won't work with my account. How do I fix this???
lol my mom definitely did not block the sites. I'm 17 first of all, and EVERY site was blocked, including our home page (comcast.net). I'm the only one that uses our computer anyway.

I'd either remove McAfee from your computer and redownload it or give them a call…they'd be more than happy to help. I've called them before for tech support.

Sounds like your mom blocked your access to most web pages. You should talk to her.

Well, I don't have an answer, but I'm having the same issue as of this evening. Using Vista I can access anything, but now with my wifes login she can't go to any website. All parental things are disabled and I tried changing her security to admin but nothing. Also move internet security to low. I'll post back if I figure it out, but please do the same if anyone else has the answer.
