My mcafee only runs in safe mode. (If i click on in in normal mode, ot doesnt open.) But it doesnt let me do a scan on my computer. It says:
Scanning has encountered a problem from which it cannot recover. Here are the problem details: -Scan failed to start; result=-2147467259
It says this in boh safe mode and safe mode with networking. What do I do to???

Boot into safe mode and use one of the free online virus scanners such as panda or housecall by trend micro.

Sounds like you have a virus. Download Malwarebytes’ Anti-malware. Update it and run it in safe mode. It will take a while but it will get rid of your problem.
