SO here's the short version:
i got a new computer about 2 years ago with McAfee
McAfee expired a few months ago
I think the computer might be infected (internet keeps shutting down, computer is slow in general, pop-ups)
If i install McAfee right now, can i safe the computer? Will it delete the viruses? will my computer function better?
HELP!!

If you reinstall McAFEE by buying the cd you can save the computer it will remove the viruses if any.

download and install the following: malwarebytes, dr.webcureit, atf-cleaner.. these are free antivirus, spyware, malware program that will scan your system… just google it.. also download the superantispyware and ad-aware.. all of these are free… just google it.

ya your right i think it is a virus maybe a trojan.
yes get mcafee hopefully it will save your computer.
raise your security up. this will also will ask you if you want to go to a web page every time. trust me it is worth it.

Old virus programs will not help, because they don't have the data to detect the latest viruses.
So go on line to:
http://housecall.trendmicro.com/
Download the little enabling program and run the house call thing. Then after this is done, google "free anti-virus programs." I recommend AntiVir, but there are others equally as good.

Before Installing your mcafee.just restore your windows to the previes fine old day ..
